SIC - Portuguese Broadcaster - is involved in a renewing process of his historical archive. a renovar o seu arquivo histórico. This technology includes the upgrade from the traditional cassettes for a hard disk of a complex system of digital archive provided by Sony. This equipment allows directly access by journalists to the images in order to provide a easy and quickly way to edit video.
B4U has a three Engineer's team works permanently in maintance to innovative system of digital archive. The system consists in digitalize all the historical archive of the broadcaster station as well as the integration of the new daily videos in order to make them useful for manipulation by different people, such as journalists, editors, etc.
